Revenue: circa 1887 Natal 9d with manuscript Zululand in black and signature, used with incomplete violet cancel. Also Natal 1s horizontal strip of 3 tied to paper by superb strike of boxed violet LOWER TUGELA DIVISION / RESIDENT MAGISTRATES OFFICE datestamp, dated 27 JUN 87. Zululand was declared a crown colony 19/5/87, slight faults but rare forerunners.
