1737 (11 Mar) Entire Letter from Hoxton Hall to Holborn London with AYE post office receiving h/s and 13 / MR bishop mark alongside, tatty and some splitting, but both very good strikes.
1764 (24 Nov) Entire Letter from Bullwick, Rockingham to Lincoln's Inn London with 23 / NO bishop mark alongside UPPING/HAM two line h/s (scarce in two lines), tatty and some splitting, but both very good strikes.
1797 (3 Dec) GRAVESEND / SHIP LRE Entire, Letter Fort William to Ayreshire with a range of manuscript chargemarks with good strike of Gravesend Ship Letter two line unframed h/s. Some minor faults. Scarce early mrk.
1817 Partly cut down Letter Ardwick to Rochdale with unclear strike of red MANCHESTER dated circle on obverse, and the scarce ARDWICK / MANCH R two line h/s in framed oval in black on reverse.
1836 Entire Letter Oxford to Daventry with nice PAID AT / OXFORD boxed h/s on obverse in black, A double arc OXFORD on reverse.
Bristol: Group of early entire letters including 1796 Clifton to London pair 5 manuscript and straight line BRISTOL on reverse, 1818 Clifton to Ludlow with two line red BRISTOL / PENNY POST on obverse & boxed No.2 h/s on reverse, 1819 BRISTOL / SHIP LETTER boxed in red redirected paid 8 E.L, 1840 (22 Apr) Entire HOTWELLS to Bristol with both arc cancels (Hotwells in blue undated) on obverse. Dartmouth: 1827 (17 Mar) Entire Letter Dartmouth to Plymouth with DARTMOUTH 213 small circle mileage mark, paid 1/2 double rate.
GREENOCK SHIP LETTER and GREENOCK / INDIA SHIP Lr handstamps on a stained front to London bearing boxed ½ and P.P./ Rate 2. Shame about the faults but nice double strike of different types.
