1864-79 Part plate Reconstructions for several different plates 165, 170, 171, 174, 177, 187, 192, 193, 1880 1d venetian red (c80). Approx 900 1d plates, mainly fine used. STC £2900+.
1870 ½d rose-red complete plates run fine used incl plate 9, SG 48. STC £800.
1870 plate 20, ½d bantam vertical pair fine mint original gum, few nibble perfs at SE corner, excellent gum, SG 48 Cat £400.
1871-3 Two Entire Letters bearing ½d rose-red Bantham plates 3, one tied UPPINGHAM 825 and other STAMFORD 712 cancel, both neat examples.
1874 (27 May) Entire Letter from Oakham to Westminster, London tied ½d bantam pl.6 and underpaid hence boxed CONTRARY TO REGULATIONS / S.W and superb strike of 1d in circle for the postage due (fined double the deficiency, hence 1d). Filing fold but both superb strikes.
1876 8d orange, two singles on piece tied by F36 Surbiton duplex, wrinkles at top corners, SG 156. Cat £1250.
1878 Wmk MX, £1 brown-lilac centred NE, used 105 numeral cancels, perfin HSB & creased, good colour. SG136 Cat £3500.
1880 1d pale lilac, 14 dots, very fine hinged mint, SG 171. Cat £225
1880-83 1s orange-brown pl.13 heavily used with NPB newspaper cancel, short SE corner. SG 163. Cat £170.
1881 2½d blue plate 22 in a mint / unmounted mint strip of three, two stamps are U/M, very fine, SG 157.
1883 Fine used example of 2/6 lilac with nice LOTHBURY B.O. / C / OC 27 / 99 cds, paper appears slightly blued but not on reverse so taken as white paper, SG 178.
